European Touring Series 2008 Round 4: Adernach, Germany

Atsushi TQ’s with domination by winning 4 out of 5 qualification heats. The German current European Champion Ronald Völker followed in 2nd and current World Champion Andy Moore completed a top 3 Hot Bodies starting grid. It was Steen Graversen on 4th with his new Kyosho prototype. Dutch Jilles Groskamp who already won the ETS Series by winning the previos two rounds qualified 9th.

Hara confirmed that his ESC line will follow. The new AHRP ESC will be based on the KO Brushless ESC.   Jilles Groskamp had already won the overall Euro Touring Series in the modified class.   It was a home race for the former world Champion Marc Rheinard, he lives just up the road.

In the first main it was Hara dominating and Völker going for an easy 2nd place. It was Andy Moore who took the final podiumposition in front of American Paul Lemieux. Local favorite Marc Rheinard finished 5th after Steen and Jilles hit each other right in front of him.

In the 2nd main there was a battle between only 2 racers, Völker and Hara. Völker was pushing hard but didn’t take any risks of a collission with his teammate. But after 3,5 minute it was Hara hitting the kerb at the end of the straight and rolling the car. It was Völker who was right behind him overtaking him and winning the 2nd main. 3rd was Tamiya driver Jilles Groskamp.

In the last main it was Völker who was pushing once again in the battle for the racevictory. In the end the gap between Hara and runner up Völker was only 0.29 seconds. It was Lemieux who claimed the final podiumposition by getting a 3rd place in the last main.
