Hot-Bodies Cyclone 'Morespeed Edition' The
Moore-Speed World Champion Edition of the ultra-fast
Cyclone touring car
features everything that Andy used to crush the competition at the
Worlds, plus a few new parts previously unavailable and developed just
for the 2006 ISTC World Championships in Italy! Using the
Hara Edition
Cyclone as the basis of this touring car beast, the Moore-Speed World
Champion Edition features the same hot purple anodizing and several
features that have been upgraded from even the high-spec Hara Edition!
The 2.5mm woven graphite main chassis and
2mm upper deck form the backbone of the Moore-Speed World Champion
Edition Cyclone. Sturdy purple anodized aluminium lower bulkheads secure
the differentials in place using hexagonal bearing holders, and the
middle bulkheads and motor mount are made using the same purple
aluminium. The top quality spur gear spins a gearshaft fitted with a
solid pulley driving the rear belt and either a solid or one-way pulley
driving the long front belt. Two layshafts are included to fit either
type of front pulley. Securely holding the rear bulkheads together is a
new finned rear heat sink brace which also helps keep the motor
temperature at a manageable level.
At
the rear of the car rests an adjustable ball differential. For extra
durability it features carbide diff balls and a titanium nitride-coated
diff screw. To ensure it can withstand the rigors of high-powered
modified racing, the outdrives are made from aluminium. The front end of
the car is driven by your choice of drive systems: either a fixed axle
spool or super-efficient one-way diff can be fitted. Both are included
in the kit to help you tune the drivetrain to the traction conditions of
your local track. The spool and one-way also feature 3-piece
construction for ease of rebuilding, low weight and extra performance.
Getting all the power to the tires is the job of new MIP CVD sets which are more efficient than the standard driveshafts, yet still extremely light. The thick purple shafts are made from aluminum for light weight but also resist bending in the hardest crashes, and spin tough alloy axles. Serrated wheel nuts grip the wheels on the aluminum hex clamp hubs. From the spur gear to the wheel nuts, this is the most efficient and powerful drivetrain available in electric touring car racing today! The top-quality shocks included with
the Moore-Speed World Champion Edition Cyclone receive special attention
as well! Already the highest performance shock absorbers available to
touring car racers today, the Moore-Speed shocks feature special
low-friction o-rings and titanium nitride-coated shock shafts for
reduced 'stiction' and extra performance on the track. To match the rest
of the car, the spring adjust nut, upper cap, lower cap and shock end
balls are anodized in the bright purple color found on the rest of the
car. More new parts included with the Moore-Speed World Champion Edition Cyclone are the updated shock towers front and rear. Featuring a massively thick 3.5mm woven graphite construction, the new shock towers are more durable, more crash-resistant and much stiffer than before! A multitude of shock mounting holes is now standard, allowing you to tune the shock angles for any style of driving, on any surface, in any conditions. Complementing the overall look of the Moore-Speed World Champion Edition Cyclone are color-coordinated pivot blocks, middle blocks, washers, sway bar pivot balls, titanium turnbuckles, hex clamp wheel hub, serrated wheel nuts and more.
