LRP Touring Car Masters 2008

Last weekend were the 11th annual LRP Masters held in Eppelheim,
Germany. The race was held in a big indoor facility. 113 top drivers from
over the whole world attend this famous event in the 'Master Class'.

The race started on Friday
with some practice rounds and Saturday the qualifiers. Jilles Groskamp was
the fastest in the first qualifier, followed by his teammates Viktor Wilck
in second and Marc Rheinard in third. The Tamiya team was the whole event
really strong and it looked like it was unbeatable after their great run
on the ETS in Denmark. Marc was the fastest
in the second, third and last heat followed by Viktor and Jilles. This
gave the following qualifying standings:

Adachi hadn't made any mayor changes to his last prototype. His
teammate Steen Graversen didn't attend the race. |

World Champ Andy Moore
didn't manage to make it to the A-Main, he qualified 12th overall.
And finished third in the B-Main. |

Naoto
Matsukira from Yokomo Japan raced a new prototype Yokomo car.
Unfortunately he didn't have much luck and ended
110th. |
The finals were held on
Sunday. The first final was won by Marc Rheinard,
followed by Viktor Wilck. Jilles Groskamp finished in third in front of
Juho Leavanen. Marc secured his overall win in the second final after
being set under pressure by Viktor.

Jilles finished once again third. The fourteen year old Serpent driver,
Yannick Prümper ended in the fourth spot after he had
overtaken former World Champion Atsushi Hara. The third final was won by
Jilles Groskamp, with in second place Alex Hagberg and in third Viktor
Wilck. Marc Rheinard made a mistake and finished 7th. This gave the
following overall result with two of the three finals to count:
