New ESC's at the Worlds

Seen at the pits of the 1/12th scale Worlds in Thailand were some new electric speed controllers. Here's the list of what we have seen (click on the pictures for greater view):

Speed Passion has shown their new development of their Granturismo ESC line. This new esc is still in its developing period so there's not much information about it.

Team Orion introduced their new Vortex Race ESC at the Worlds. The new ESC is based on the Ko-Propo VFS-1 BMC. It is able to run motors up to 4.5T without a fan kit, and with it it has no motor limit. Orion will also release a 'Digital Setting Box' for managing the settings. The ESC will be in the stores before the holidays.

The LRP SXX speed controller was shown at the Worlds. The big new features are 10 power levels and the 10 adjustable settings of their new 'X. Brake'. These setting can adjusted by 2 buttons. The SXX is also a bit smaller than the Sphere TC and it will be available with a heat sink and a fan for modified racing.

The Nosram Pearl Evolution ESC was the choice of the Nosram drivers at the Worlds. It is equal to the LRP SXX (shown right above). Both LRP and Nosram ESC's have sensor cables, though they are difficult to spot on the pictures.

Some Corally drivers used a weird prototype electric speed controller. There's no information about this speed controller yet available.

Shinosuke Adachi and other Futaba drivers had used the all new MC950CR. This new speed controller of Futaba will also be available in a 'High Power Edition' which has a heat sink and a fan.
